Actually I don't think Izmir is that great really. You don't really have a water front that is developed very well and the stink from the rotten putrified water can be smelt all through the city.

You have a small market that is not really that special and a few ferrys that carry you over to another jetty.

Big deal.

Oh yes, and a clock in a square sandwiched in between the council building and the police torture chambers, how lovely!

Cok guzel, yaaaaaa!

The nature? What nature? There are no natural green areas in Izmir apart from a few childrens areas. Oh or do you mean the area that you have to pay for to get up in a cable car? Yes, it is nice but not exactly accessible.

The pollution is stiffling and there is no proper access to the sea. Everytime someone wants to develop something decent the Islamists put a spanner in the works.

Yeah, I'd love to show you around Kadifikale too.

Anyway I see you think its great only for men.

If you live in kadifekale, tell me the name of the young girl who burnt herself on the walls of the castle, in protest at Turkeys treatment of the Kurds?

Everybody knows it her name in kadifekale, she is written into legend.

Yes, the silence is deafening! You probably live in Carsiyakaya or somewhere like that.
